Marine explosion-proof photoelectric smoke detector is one of most popular and useful fire fighting equipment in the boat. It is a sensitive yet rugged, state-of-the-art, life safety device. The detector is design to operate effectively with both slow smolder-ing and fast burning fires.It uses a solid state infrared emitting diode and a light sensing photovoltaic cell arranged in a laby-rintch assembly. For use in combustible storage facilities, munitions manufacturing,volatile chemical storage ,chemical processing plants or any hazardous location where photoelectric smoke detection is required.

Working Principle

Each detector contain one set of Form A ( SPST) N/O contacts for connection to the alarm initiation circuit and set of SPST N/C power supervision contacts.

The detector relay latches in alarm and in addition has a latching LED visible on the outsie of the detector. Detector reset is achieved by momentary interruption of power.
